Pensions
I'm disgusted......the pensioners have to keep waiting, and waiting, for reviews, government decisions to raise the amount of the pension. But the world starts going into recession, and all of a sudden there is money to give to "working families" and although my children come into that "working families" scenario, I am beginning to hate that phrase.
Pensioners were once working families (without the electronic devices of today) and we worked bloody hard for our wages, and brought up families.
Now many many of us are living below the poverty line.
Working families have at least one pay if not two coming in each week. Interest rates have gone to the lowest in about 50 years, and still they have to be looked after by the government.
At the expense of genuine pensioners, who have all the same bills, but have to exist on $255 per week.

Not while there are more votes to be had from the WFs of this country than there are from the pensioners.
Its all a matter of self interest as far as the pollies are concerned, its only when they want to make a big show of how generous they are that they even consider the pensioner. Seem to forget that the millions that they gaily hand out, is not their money, but what they squeezed out of every Aussie over the years.
