As a single pension recipient any bonus is a great help but I would sooner have seen a $30 a week increase in my pension, that I knew was going to come in regularly,that would allow me to budget for some extra groceries , rent rises, electricity etc.
To my mind I think this would have been much more beneficial to pensioners. It is still difficult to see how married pensions can be so much higher when there is still the same rent etc that singles have to pay.
