Pensioners in general

ok,we on pensions only, with no super ,are the ones who are doing the hard yards,I thought I could take over where my dad left off,but with rates ,electricity, phone bills etc, there is no money whatsoever left in our miserable existence to even afford a little luxury in our somewhat mundane lives,I had to take on a small casual job 8 years ago to even exist, petrol is killing what little joy I got out of driving, and now 8 years down the track at 67 I still do that job, come on Politicians get with it try to walk in our shoes for a fortnight and see how far you would last, you have the luxuries in your life not us ,my dad worked 48 years in one job,and look how far it got his family,in this situation I wish I were the politician and hope that I could make the real people of Australia a little better off.

Yes to get them to "walk in our shoes" is the only way they would ever understand what a battle it really is--the same as the the people that design public places--they should walk in the shoes of the disabled--in wheel chairs and such--they would then know just what a battle it is for these folk to get around.
