I am currently visiting my son who lives and works overseas. I had been hoping to apply for a pension on-line once I reached the correct age. This is not possible. I must return to Australia to claim my pension.

I then discovered that after working and paying tax for nearly 40 years I must stay in Australia for 2 years after I make the claim. Why!!!!!!!

I want to return to stay close to my son but I need the income from the pension. Americans can do this (They can apply for the pension while overseas.)
