[size=3][/size]Be aware that to qualify "When Claiming the Pension Bonus" you MUST have been in Australia Ten Years! Yes its a LAW as described below.

This is NOT explained in any of the Pension Bonus Information Sheets! Even Centrelink People dont apear to know that, only the ones who Administer the scheme.

All the Info the Pension Bonus Scheme SHOULD Point this out in laymans terms and in Black and White!

I found out when after being in the scheme three years & went to claim it but was refused, I could of had the Age Pension but NOT the Bonus as I have not been in the country ten years. (I have six months to go!)

It is very misleading as they say that I qualify for the Age Pension then the literature goes on to say that if you Qualify for the Age Pension you also Qualify for the Pension Bonus ! WRONG!!! BEWARE this is incorrect.

Sounds quite fair to me after all imigrants could stay for a very short time .........get the money and go back to where they came from



By the way it is classified as a SENIORS bonus and even self funded retirees qualify for the payment .............also very fair I think ...........

Yes thats fine its just that the ten years is not clarified in any of the info! It is very misleading that is my complaint, not the fact of ten years.

The Age Pension is paid by Percentage by Aust and NZ but the Bonus by Aust.
