Olivia Newton-John came from a family of high achievers

Olivia Newton-John was a world-wide artist but she was just one of a renown, family.

Her father was a codebreaker at Bletchley Park during WWII and worked on the Enigma project and was also part of the team who took Rudolf Hess into custody.

Her maternal grandfather was the German Jewish Nobel Prize winning physicist Max Born and her uncle was the pharmacist Gustav Victor Rudolf Born who worked on medicines that have reduced the risk of heart attack and stroke for millions of people around the world. He refused to patent the research so it could not be used for commercial gain.

Two of her ancestors were also notable German judges and she a distant cousin of comedian and writer Ben Elton.

Her brother was a doctor and her sister an actress.

What an amazing family.
