New HD channels

Seems like we've got another one starting this evening. Called Go!, Think it could be channel 9. But, unless you search around, fiddling with this button and that, you won't know what's on. No TV guide seems to have it on their radar, or published guides in the newspapers. I know that One is the sports channel - deleted it.. Not my interest area, Sounded like Go! would have something I might want to watch - if only I could find the guide.

BevG, try to Goggle TVFIX - I found it helpful. Channel GO (which is also ch 88) has Tuesday 8.30 pm the American Survival series starting.

Good luck!

Bev,

Haven't got HD myself yet, but the programme guide was in the Melbourne Sunday Sun today and they say it will be in the normal TV guide next week. Had a quick look and it appears that American comedy, Seinfeld, Just Shoot me and The Nanny etc feature a lot.

I think you go to 88 or 99 but I haven't tries it myself as yet--looked at the programing on the net and looks much the same as nine program

Downloaded a guide for Go!. Not too much of interest, especially from 6 - 8pm. A whole lot of repeats of old shows and the same thing repeated and repeated again.

How do you get the new chanel on the TV--I tried 88 and 99 but nothing came up--

BevG, maybe you were a bit fast to delete the sport-channel! I am not a sport-fan either but couple of times I've

found interesting things on it - - when there is nothing else to watch, it can quite pleasantly fill the time while I am having lunch, etc. Today some guys were climbing a huge rock somewhere in the Arctic, beats the silly police-shows any day!

I am just sick of homicides and other violent happenings. :)

PlanB - did you try Channel Manager?

Do you have an HD TV, or a set top box? Either way, you have to go into Edit channel, flip through until you get to 88 or 99 and make it one of your favourites. So far, I haven't found that any of them are so earth shatteringly good, so you're not missing out on too much.

Maybe I'll restore it during the olympics, if they show the equestian events. This just what I mean about there being no TV guides available, unless you hunt them down and download them.

I have the HD TV and I have a set top box in the bedroom--I tried that but nothing came up it did ask me for a PIN ??

As far as a sport Chanel goes I would never be interested in that--I can't stand any sport on TV--and avoid the Olympics like the plaque

Sounds like you have to go back to the basics and start your sets all over again and do a channel search, just like you did when you first bought them and brought them home.

Yes maybe for the lounge room one --HD TV-- trouble is I think it deletes all recorded programs and also those set to record--I might ring the maker of the set top box and ask them as I don't have any set to record in there

Somehow, I've managed to negotiate my way through it all. Even got the video recorder set to record the HD shows in analog as well as the DVD recorder to record, while I watch another show. Guess it's just persistance. Won't give up while there is another cord to attach, or another button to push. Sounds like you have a newer HD recorder.

Yes I do that as well Bev jst that I am sure that last itme I went to download another chanel--it warned me that it would delete all the shows must look again--I have had it for about 9 months

You must have downloaded all the channels and put some on skip, or delete. You just have to get back to the place where you can unskip, or undelete.
