NEW FORUM LAYOUT

Congratulations Yankeelady2015 | Webroot Community

Well done Drew and Co. A decent format, an adult format and one which I am sure will attract a very different type of contributor.

Hopefully the format will deter some of the twits from posting and a more intelligent audience will result.

My Opinion: ALL TOPICS SHOULD BE CREATED BY ADMIN STAFF -- SHOULD BE RELEVANT TO SENIORS WHO HAVE A REAL INTEREST IN SUBJECTS THAT CONCERN SENIORS.

Good luck.

Geeheez you’re a ‘Piece of Work’ Lucca!

I know Toot and Rnr can stick up for themselves with intelligence and class, but can barely recall a time on this forum when they have deliberately set out to offend people as you have just done...

Over the years and as a person with an interest in history, news, current affairs etc. most times I log into the forum I’ve read through Rnr’s and Toot’s threads, and on occasion but not always (which is pretty much how most members deal with most comments on most threads), I have sometimes engaged in further discussion about an issue, incident, person etc. But mostly choose to read through the content offered....

Besides how the bloody hell would you know how large theirs, or any other member’s audience is for that matter?? That’s correct you don’t!!!!

The New Format is a freakin’ nightmare and why the hell YLC felt the need to change it is beyond me! Also why couldn’t they at least have mentioned it was a about to change - as in a warning of some sort! The only thing YLC ever needed to do was to reinstate the Private Messaging facility.

I’ve sent a email expressing my disappointment with the new format but no answer...

And yes you might be satisfied with ‘ALL TOPICS BEING CREATED BY ADMIN STAFF ....etc. etc. but have yet to be convinced that Admin know entirely what is of relevance and interest to Seniors ....Personally I prefer a combination of threads created by both Admin and members just to keep it RELEVANT and INTERESTING!

Similarly this encouragement of member pro-activity and independence through allowing members to start their own threads has some appeal to membership...

But hey Lucca if you childlike feel safer having the breadth and depth of discussion dictated to by some YLC staffer it might be a universally joyful moment for all concerned if you only ever responded to threads started by Admin and nothing else...

I have just found out that the format has been changed and like Shesto1, it would have been good if we had been advised

of it. Everyone has a right to start a new thread which could be of interest to certain members. RnR and Toot's threads were always informative, and Celia had a lot to contribute. I only hope Foxy and Incognito continue because some of their

comments were funny. We don't need to have the Nazi police come crashing down on some members because they think they know better.

Well said Lucca. Having had time to look at the new format..I do think it is much more improved compared to the previous one. I find it so funny that some think because they have been on YLC for aeons, they have a squatters right to decisions made by the owners. YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY "RIGHTS" ...you do not 'HAVE TO BE CONSULTED" because sorry to break the news to you...you do NOT own anything here. You are a GUEST...take it or leave it...what a cheek!!!

I don't really mind the new layout either. Okay, it has a few kinks that need to be ironed out, but don't we all? LOL.

Psst ... I think I might be on to you Lucca. :) Stir the pot for fun - Imgflip

But, have you realised that if your preference of topics only being started by admin staff was taken on board, you wouldn't have been able to start this thread? Unless of course, you ARE staff. Ummmh!!

Ba bye !!!!

Bye Good Bye GIF - Bye GoodBye SnowWhite GIFs sincere wishes for a great journey onwards Shetso!!!

Glad I can make you laugh at times Hola, not going anyway.

We were sent an email from YLCs to look at the new format and were able to make comments before they launched it.

You said you did not like the new format on Stick it in the bin topic Sophie, now you like it?

What is that dribble about squatters rights, which decade are you living in? No one said they own anything!!

Lucca does not even follow the policies & guideline to posting comments:

All content, opinions and representations must not be defamatory, abusive, hateful, inflammatory and must not abuse or harass any person or group of persons;

Shetso is not going anywhere and neither is anyone else, why should they?

Glad you started a topic Lucca on the new format, but why congratulate it when it has a lot of issues to be fixed yet, bit premmie.

Would of been better to share tips and help regarding how to use it but guess that is a bit too nice for you to do.

I have found so many issues it is laughable, the web developers obviously never use forums themselves or just plain stupid.

Seems to me they have a few things wrong, no links work at all, not easy to navigate, not easy to use, etc.
