Seggie. Re the new health card. Personally I don't care what the government knows about me. Big Brother had to come one day and better I guess that we get used to them knowing every time we visit the little room. Sorry about that folks. Too bad for our doctors that on an important health matter, we want a second opinion. I've done just that. After I was told such and such, I felt a bit uneasy and decided no matter what it cost, a second opinion was necessary. I told the doctor about this and again, too bad if they don't like it. It's my life and my body. I'd like to keep it in as good health as I can and if one is told something that makes us uneasy, better for us to have another's advice. Sometimes it can mean life and death as I found out years ago to a loved one.
Travel insurance. Over that certain age, one can almost forget it if one wants to go overseas. It's bad enough just to be covered in Australia let alone overseas. Maybe it's OK if one has plenty of money but that's not me. I enquired re the insurance and almost fell of my chair with the cost. Australia will do me.
