Need Sourdough Bread Recepie
I looked up on Google for this recepie but it all sounds so complicated.
It appears you have to make a 'starter' and it takes days...
Is there a quick, easy way?

Thanks Phyl,
At least you persevered with it..
I don't understand that throwing away half of it etc. too complicated.
I made something with whey from yogurt it tasted nice as I used wholemeal flour and seeds.
I would not mind making starter today and using it tomorrow.
You'd think there would be easier, quicker way.
Mara this is the link to a video for making sourdough bread. It lists the ingredients and shows you how to make it. From day 1 to day 8.

I saw a show on television which showed a baker who makes it and he said that there are very few bakers who make the original sourdough. Most of what you can buy is not real sourdough.
A traditional sourdough is a heavy bread not what you buy in supermarkets
Thanks for that; shall have a look and perhaps...try**

Hiya Mara...Just eating some Sourdough toast from Aldi and very yum...
I did make sourdough bread some years back (lost the will these days
as easier to buy it) lazy me.
.
I think if you find an easier way than the starter, it will just be pretend..
I know you need to feed the starter often as because it is living in the
fridge has to be fed or it dies...Also have to chuck half away each time you
make a loaf and use the one half with a new start each time so a bit
of a task - then again not really difficult just have to keep remembering it
has to be done.
I had SO many Kombucha mushrooms I cultivated I was giving them away
left right and centre but really did not find the drinking of the stuff did us
any good so gave that away and similar to making sourdough bread
had to be done each day. If it had made any significant change to how we felt in any way
would have kept taking it as we do the Resveratrol and MSM every day still :)
Have a lovely Tuesday matey.
Phyl.
