Natural Deodorant that really does work!

Did you know you can make your own deodorant with just a few completely natural ingredients? This recipe is really effective and very cheap! It is especially important for women who worry about aluminum materials in deodorant as it has been linked to breast cancer:-

Ingredients:
<><><><>
5-6 Tbsp Coconut oil
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch
<><><><>
Combine equal amounts baking soda & arrowroot powder. Then slowly add coconut oil and work it in with a spoon until it maintains the substance you desire. It should be about the same texture as shop deodorant, solid but able to be applied easily. You can either scoop this into your old dispensers or place in a small container with lid and apply with fingers. After applying the product, you can just rub the remains into your hands as a lotion! This recipe lasts about 3 months for two people with regular daily use.
Just make sure you wait awhile after shaving under the arms before putting
it on though as the baking powder can sting just a tad :)

That sounds good Phyl I will buy some Coconut Oil

when I get to the shops.

A natural tip which if it works for us will be great. I save money where

we can and always ask the Chemist for the Generic medication

when we have our Prescriptions filled. We save quite a bit this way

and watch for specials especially for things to keep the pantry stocked.

thanks.

Do try the deodorant.

I know what you mean with the savings on

Generics. We also buy the low dose Aspirin from the warehouse

Chemist and it is very cheap and take one every day on Heart

Specialist advice (and only on Doctor's advice anyone should

take Asprin every day)

I have been reading up n Asprin and it is said it is

helping to keep Alzeimers at bay for some and a Specialist wrote it is

a miracle medication for those able to take it of course and not

for people with Ulcers unless on Doctors advice.

All the best

Phyl.

Hi Phyl, just found this deodorant tip, will give it a go as you never know what is in the commercial ones.

I use Garnier aspirin every day for high blood pressure, so I guess this means it is good for my brain also, that's good to know.

A few who like me have found Commercial Deodorant

causes the u/arms to be itchy have said like me, the home

made one with no aluminium works well.

Coconut oil is a very useful product - cheap and natural.

My Mum-in law had dry skin on her legs and after using the oil

has beautiful smooth legs now.

I asked her if she could find herself a rich husband so she said

she could try and as she does a lovely job of looking after her

home and cooking for herself and minding her great grandkids

we all feel she has many more years yet to live happily so a bit of

company would be nice and nearly 98 is not too old for a fresh start is it.

All the best ;-)

Phyl.

Anyway I do not know if this qualifies as a deodorant but quite some years ago a friend of mine, who like me tends to the bigger bust size, gave me this hint to help stop sweat rash under the arms and under the bust.

Instead of using talcum powder use corn flower, it really works, all I do is put some into one of those big salt shaker type cans you can buy and then just shake some onto my hands , put it where needed and no more rash and of course it is cheap to buy.
