Information regarding your rights and responsibilities as a resident or potential resident of an aged care facility is available from the NACAP.
Your rights include the level of care to which you are entitled .
Financial obligations regarding residents' agreements must be outlined and explained to you by relevant staff of the facility before you enter.
There is a branch in every state and territory.

Complaints regarding concerns about care standards may also be discussed with the advocacy program or alternatively with the Complaints Investigation Scheme, (CIS), of the Department of Health and Aging. Contact number for complaints is 1800 550 552.
