i Thought the above was from that halluciating pilot mick42.

but there was intelligent thought behind it.

We pay our incompetant polititians [All of Them'] for what???

so why not pay to enter the garden of eden., and get Heaven...seth.

I could,nt see the garden on TV this morning at 7 o'clock Seth, it's still dark and raining......Ahhh, Queensland, sunny and warm, raining and warm, T-shirt and shorts all day every day.

You are quite right Gismo, Ipswich was my birthplace, when the road

to brisbane was narrow and bushy. Always the doors weren't locked,

You were still warm even when it rained.

Then lived in Adelaide where in those days 'late 20s' you felt safe,

the weather was good, but the water was shocking,

Then to Melbourne, you received 4 seasons in a day which

made you feel alive, Now, though it is great place to live,

you dont feel as if you get the four seasons.

I am just contented now to feel warm. seth. :-)

If you haven't been to Ipswich lately Seth, you wouldn't know the place. It is HUGE, like an inland city. The highway upgrade is near complete, no more 'bushy' roads. I was working on building sites in Redbank Plains and got lost in Ipswich, even with an up to date street directory it was out of date. Still bloomin' hot in midsummer, 38 degrees some days. ( 100.4 deg. on the old scale ).

Gismo,

I probably would get lost there now, you carry in your mind

how a place was when you were last there, one road through the town

from brisbane. Whenever you go back to a place of memory it is always

a let down, but that is called progress. seth.

I am from Melbourne and now living in Adelaide , where you just stop and start on the roads at traffic lights, give me Melbourne and their freeways and toll ways only to happy to pay for uninterrupted driving

jessej

jessiej,

Unfortunately at times the tollways and or freeways

are not such an excellant run, more like car parks.

On the news every night shows how bad they are.

off peak time may be a little better, but the traffic is

building up that much that even then could be crook. seth.

seth I went from Carrum Downs to Tullamarine Airport ,Left home at 5-30 PM the lanes coming out of the city were running well and it was a mass of tail lights and running well into the city and out to the airport, and coming home later was traffic ok 160 km return trip, the only to go for fast trip

Jessej

jessej.

Glad you had a good run on the freeways, a few weeks back

I was making the trip from the eye and ear hospital to moorabbin

a few times a week around 5pm the so called freeways were a

, a nightmare, stop start until elsternwick.

not so bad if earlier.

Even so, melbourne is a great place to live, seth.
