I like Melbourne and have many more friends there than Sydney yet for years I regularly commuted to work in both.  Funny how we all got to recognise one another and became friends from meeting up in the airline lounges.~~

We who escaped both grew weary of cold, the traffic and the afternoon smudge in the air.

I spent 4 days in Melbourne last month and absolutly loved this city.  There is just so much to see and do, the people are so very helpful and friendly.I  cant wait to go back and spend some more time there,Wobbly

I'm sorry to be a wet blanket but I've been to Melb, Syd  and Adelaide (born there), I couldn't wait to get out of both Sydney and Melbourne, they are too busy, too big for me, I like the more laid back quiet way of life, nice to visit I guess but give me the outback anyday. I'm not a shopper or not that fussed about coffee or dinners by low light etc, which makes cities like Melbourne and Sydney what they are.  I guess you can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl,  I hate crowds, but I do like people, funny isn't it?????

I live in WA ,but Victoria is my spiritual home, it is where my heart is. Not the city ,but th e whole of Melbourne and definately the whole of Victoria I just feel I am where I belong when I am there

I have been to all the places and still think that the NSW has the best harbour and coastline of all--I do judge a place by it's natural beauty as I couldn't care less about the night life etc
