Manners, Maxine McKew

Did anyone watch the recent Q&A;on Chanel 2, where Maxine McKew showed her true colours?

At the risk of being abused by Toot 2000 again for attacking a woman, I will continue--

Whether you like the show or its compare (whom I regard as biased) Maxine McKew's behaviour was woeful and at times she was booed by the audience. She would be one of the rudest people to appear on the show. When answering questions the compere had to repeatedly intervene as she just wouldn't shut up, and even then she rudely talked over him, anything to get her message across it seems.

She should know better being a former TV 'performer', but just showed her arrogance in trying to turn the program into a Labor excuse-fest. The low-light of the night was when she tried to explain Rudd's wasting another huge pile of cash on political advertising that saw her nearly laughed out of the studio.

I have it recorded Tanwin--and hope to get time to watch in the next few days.

Of course she has to defend that caricature , cardboard cutout of a pm...but at least just have the sense to say a few words and drop it.

Sure did see and hear the whole thing. Agree with all you say. I can't believe that anyone at all is defending this horrendously dishonest waste of taxpayers money.

Money that could go toward so many other things

Indigenous housing

Homeless housing

fixing the insulation mess

Well and of course she is actually Mrs Hogg and hubbie is another MP Labor of course. Very fitting being a bit of a pig herself. Rofl................

Tony Jones is the host and he is about the rudest of the ABC's presenters of political programs and naturally a died in the wool socialist Marxist leftie communist or all of the above - take your pick - most fit at any one time.

Plus she was trying to get one over on Tony as he took over her spot.

ABC is very biased and left wing and have admitted it only a couple of years back when the BBC did also and seeing as we pay for the service I feel they should be far more balanced but most media have slipped into not reporting news as it happens - but how it seems to them personally - their slant on it and usually as most are union members - left wing.

The audience they pick is radical too - lots of students - many immigrants of third world and no real down to earth Aussies - hand picked to put the perceived right wing people on the panel on the spot.

I saw that programme and was quite impressed by Maxine McKews answers in spite of the interjections and speaking down by the Liberal Member at the other end of the table. I felt that her answers were reasonable in spite of the loaded questions. I can understand why she polled well against John Howard.

Having witnessed her performance and without going into the politics of the argument. All I can say is..... her husband would have very little to say.

He would't get a word in..:-)

A more controlling female I have yet to see. On second thoughts, , Nicola Roxon would run her a close second.

Well I watch it last night as I had it recorded and I must say I thhought it was the Audence and the Lib memeber that handled themselves badly I thought Maxine --although I have never been all that fond of her--handled herself very well--it was the rest that were rude.

I suspect in your skewed view the 'rest were rude' (including the audience and compere) because they wouldn't let Pig McKew talk over them with her bullshit. I wouldn't have expected anything different from Labor supporters and especially one who blames pensioners for their own insulation catastrophe.

Rudd's support plummeting in the polls through bare-faced lying, back-flips and numerous wasteful disasters, must be a figment of my, and the majority of journalists in this country, imagination.

If the compare or any others made rude statements as you have done then I would be appaled.

Get out of the gutter.

Tanwin, I am not blaming pensioners for any such thing--I am just saying that sometimes we all have to take responsibility for our own actions. McKew was asked a question and she was interrupted many times--in my opinion that is rude.
