Read this in The Australian today, sadly, I agree,

The party is ignorant, inert and increasingly irrelevant."

People being duped by Palmer and ads and greed for coal. Nothing wrong with what Labor offered and they should not change. Already they seem to be caving on coal. My brother saw the LNP with Palmer and Pauline in the same tent at the elections. The cancer help would have been great. The dental help would hav even great. 
Lies were swallowed so gullible people as well. Franking credits became something everyone had or might have. Death duties were coming. A promise of money waved over their heads!
ScoMo was unknown as PM so maybe people hoped for something. He was a one man band, the rest were MIA. Labor was a team. Greens promised action on climate change which people did not care enough about. The environment needs to be put first in view of the hundreds of scientists who have called for urgent action. This means coal needs to be phased out.

Labor lost because the majority of the Australian electorate are greedy and stupid.

The two former pollies who conducted the review were Craig Emerson, who has some intelligence and the other was little Jay Weatherill the mongrel dog who left SA a basket case and even blew up a power station so an incoming govt couldnt use it. A real low dog act

This country will have to rely on coal produced power because the alternative is currently unaffordable and unreliable

Bill shorten came up short....  Albanese won't have it easy! Labour needs a leader, not a bland career politician.

Have I missed something? Everyone is so intense. Election time is a way to go yet!

Who is to blame? Well, firstly, let's blame Shorten for being an unpopular leader, secondly, let's blame the ALP for stupid suicidal policy annoucements, thirdly, let's blame the voter for not trusting the ALP and lastly, let's blame the Coalition for winning.

Shorten was immensely unpopular with female voters, the womens mags did a job on him after he walked out on his first wife and this was not forgotten. All us males know what womens memories are like!

They are still delusional. Shorten was unpopular but that shouldn't have impacted other candidates. They said that they released too many policies and the voters couldn't understand them all, problem is we could understand them very well to their detriment. Palmer was a no issue, most of his ads were about him and not against others, we laughed everytime one came on the telly until they intruded too much and then they became annoying. I know people on here won't believe me but until this election i had been a life long Labor voter state and Federal ( yes including all the SA disasters ). I am now retired 3 years and the threat of Labor taking my Franking credits reducing my personal income by about $5k per year was the straw that broke the camels back. This may be selfish and my hip pocket but they wanted to do it to too many people. We have always voted with our hip pocket.

The Labor party’s post-mortem analysis of this year’s election loss has pointed the blame squarely at Bill Shorten’s unpopularity.

Weatherill clearly did NOT lump the ENTIRE blame on Shorten as stated and IF anyone was duped by Palmer they would have the mentality of a two year old and no place in the polling booth

The electorate simply did not like or trust Shorten, Labor's inept policies and most importantly being joined at the hip to the Greens

Listening to Albanese on The Insiders he will follow the same well-worn path even though Morrison is a dog

Yeah, blame Shorten...one man...that's nice and easy isn't it? Me?....I blame our immigrants in NSW many of whom don't really understand our political system; the filthy Murdoch press which has a monopoly, country wide; the Queenslanders who are dependent on mining for a crust;  and the rotten lies told by Clive and other means of advertising; and corrupt Liberal scallywagging in Chinese dominated electorates. To everyone who voted for this miserable government...suffer baby! You will be sorry! It is just awful that the rest of us, who didn't vote for them, have to be so sorry too!
