Labor must have two leaders, neither is Albo

Doesn't matter what the subject is, there is always a bobble-head Kristina Keneally or Penny Wong filling the TV screen, mouth going like a band saw through a log.

The Woke womansplaining must be because Albanese, one of those reviled and unnecessary old white men is incapable and superfluous.

Woman hating is not a good look LJ. Did you hate Julie Bishop too or is it only Labor women you have a problem with?

Surprised me to hear the Julie Bishop was a leftie.

The Labor Party will always have a problem nationally because of their various factions and subfactions. Albo and Bill never really sang from the same hymn book because they came from different political parties basically. Labor appear to do well at a state level because their factions are more in line. Being an exLawyer for the CFMEU I would expect Penny Wong to have a say in the John Setka saga, whatever is going on there? Marles looks overawed and stifled by it all. How can we possibly expect Labor to please the majority of Australians when they have a hard time in their own organisation? Little wonder they have only held office 30% of the time.

Even his party fell about laughing when, 'tongue-in-cheek' he said there were "no factions in the Liberal Party".

It is also so very clear to us all that Malcolm and Tone ALWAYS "sang from the same hymn book".

Tony Abbott is to blame entirely for that, he misplaced his hymn book :-))

:-) misplaced true but still with some fond memories i think.

It will be interesting sitting on the sidlines to see how this all play out

Setka sounds pretty unsavory to me..have been reading about his latest court appearance...does not come across as a man who has respect for women AT ALL!!

worth a read..also why should union members pay for his court costs and he is on full pay for 6 months!!

Yes, I would like to see how this plays out in the Labor party. If Albo or others wanted to get Setka out for any type of misbehaviour that's one thing, however to pick on him when he is rightly focusing on the massive erosion of men's rights e.g. men being falsely accused in DV cases (with police not adopting a balanced approach), one-sided family courts, etc, does show Albo is pandering to the females / feminists. Bad step by Albo. Albo needs to be very concerned about the serious erosion in men's rights (and high suicide rates), otherwise all men should leave the Labor party.

Is it possible that has already happened? Bill Shorten had a clean out of tradititional Labor MPs.

Is it possible that has already happened? Bill Shorten had a clean out of tradititional Labor MPs.

Albo would have been required to toe the 'Setka was nasty to Saint Rosie' line, wouldn't he?  Otherwise whole raison d'etre for the elevation and political existence of Ms Keneally and Pwong and the big gender platform is challenged.

Right on, LJ

Come on LJ! What about past politicians that fleeced taxpayers money! Take Bromwyn Bishop as example, Free Heli rides, oh i forgot, she paid money back! only to save her $130.000 plus, yearly pension. That she gets for rest of her retirement years. LJ, when people in power get the smell of ministerial leather, they are all painted with same brush!

You forgot about Tony Bourke and his jaunts as well. Left Browyn for dead in spending.

You forgot about Tony Bourke and his jaunts as well. Left Browyn for dead in spending.

Speaking of spending.

:) Aah ... the memories ... from 2015 ...

The 10 most outrageous things pollies have spent our money on

:) From the article ...

Of course, no one is suggesting Australian MPs are as out of control as the Russians, who had to question how President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov could afford a watch worth more than half a million dollars after he wore the expensive piece at his wedding.

LJ's comments surprised me a little commenting on the Labor Party factions as if the LNP don't have any :-) The Labor Party have had a united team for the last six years unlike the LNP who had Tony Abbot, Malcolm Turnbull and Scott Morrison as leaders with Dutton really wanting the top job. Not to mention the problems in the National Party with Barnaby. Good people like Bishop and Pine left the party. So maybe your judgement could be fairer.

Bishop and Pine were complete rubbish, achieved nothing, and good for the party they left. Labor had Rudd, Gillard, Rudd, Shorten in 6 years - in fact they set the bad example, and it's great that Shorten, the key destabiliser, lost. But, Albo still needs to watch out, Shorten may not be finished yet (behind the scenes)!

LJ, change the channel mate. No one is asking you for your divisive opinion on intelligent women on your screen. Obviously, you have a woman problem like your LNP! Get over it and try to be more objective gender wise. Poor you hurt by a woman so all women are breaking your LNP heart.

Not a Bludger, name says it all, hater of women and pensioners! Another immature male who has been rejected by a woman or women.

Some immature males on here lol!

When such misogynistic comments abound..it’s not surprising that more women don’t enter politics.. no wonder Australia has one of the lowest global rankings for female political representation.

Both Penny Wong (Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs) and Kristina Keneally (Shadow Minister for Home Affairs) have a job to do. Whether they are liked or not by some people..their jobs are.. to be seen and to be heard. Although some may not like what they say or when they say it..that has no bearing on the fact they were appointed by the leader of the Opposition to be vocal and involved (not to sit in Parliament and knit).

Would men in their positions be targeted? Not by some it seems. Well if you wouldn’t do it to a man..it is not acceptable to do it to a woman. In my naivety about mansplaining and womansplaining..I feel compelled to ask..LJ, how do your words differ from John Setka’s?

In my world I am used to humansplaining. Your topic is disgraceful in my opinion.

No..I am not a rusted on Labor supporter having always been on the Conservative side..however female politicians on both sides should be treated with respect. Attack the politics if you will but not make personal remarks :(

Hello? There's more venom from LJ directed at Albo than the two ubiquitous women he names. Spare us the womansplaining; we get enough of that from the two sacred-cow feminist politicians in question.

Anyone less qualified than Penny Wong (Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs) and Kristina Keneally (Shadow Minister for Home Affairs) would be very hard to find. Ms Wong's hissy fits when she doesn't get her way or when someone disagrees is hardly the demeanour for a Minister for Foreign Affairs. As for Ms Keanelly she is where she is not because of any talant or apitude for politics (she was parachuted into the NSW Premiere position by corrupt male power brokers - presided over a corrupt government some of whose members landed in prison, then promptly lost the election in a landslide. She was then pre-selected to stand in Mr Howard's old electorate and promptly lost again. So then she was a Captain's pick by Mr Shorten who installed her in the Senate. She was not elected for that either. Now two more men have had to stand aside so she can have a Cabinet position AND the Deputy Leadership of the Senate. Ms Keaneally has done absolutely nothing on her own merits.) but because she has simply been the beneficiary of the largess of the men around her.

Knows-a-lot (?),

You ought to brush up on your comprehension skills. LJ is not directing any “venom” towards Albanese..he is being facetious.

KSS,

You have completely missed the point!

KSS, are you on safe ground saying all that? As sophie explained to us all, they are women.

Are you anti-women adrianus?

Quite the contrary Sophie, I admire more women than I do men. I have a leaning toward women but I dont allow my bias to influence the logical import within the decision making making process. You could say, I am anti favouritism because of sex, gender identity, or skin colour. I recognise my bias and allow for it. It's easy for a woman to say they should be more favoured over a male because of past inequality, I get that, but equality is not a game of them and us. To me it has always been about everyone of us using our individual talents and acheiving our full potential. We are all different. I like it that way.

That's good to know Adrianus and who can argue with such wisdom. However..I fail to see where you are detecting "favouritism"..and who are you to say these women lack talent or potential because they are female?

Most women who enter politics face challenges most men do not even know exist. Women who choose politics as a career are not shrinking violets..they have learnt over time to cope and, going out on a limb here, but, that's a skill many men have yet to learn.

"All animals are created equal (i.e. men and women), but some animals are more equal than others (men)."

Have a nice weekend.

"and who are you to say these women lack talent or potential because they are female?"

I did not say that, those who promote gender targets say that. Albo said as much, when he went to great lengths to explain that these two women are there on their merits. If Labor didnt have a quota then they wouldnt need to repeatedly apologise for it.

As long as Bill Shorten and Penny Wong on the opposition front bench will never trust or vote Labour. Ambitious Shorten will lead from here until he re-sharpens his knife.

It's spelt "Labor", FYI.

Bill obviously argued on quota rules to get his team in the leadership group. Blind Freddy can see Marles and Albo are not happy with it. Albo's way of fighting back is to fire a shot at their Union heavyweight. Gosh we havent seen this sort of Labor fight since 1955.

I felt sorry for Ed Husic and Don Farrell who were forced to step aside to make room for Kenneally, two good men who had to make way to fulfil the Labor ideology of quotas for women. If Plibersek had stood in the lower house one of those men would have been allowed to continue doing a good job. I wonder if Kenneally feels that she earned her job on merit or whether she got there only because she is a woman. Her past political record suggests that if she was a man she would be a backbencher.

I note that state Labor is back to its old tricks while trying to elect a leader. The frontrunner, Minns, has had leaks against him suggesting that he has taken Chinese money to assist in moving back to Australia to assist with an election. The other main candidate is a woman although there is no suggestion that she has had anything to do with the leaks. Shorten was able to show the public a unified party and Albanese is doing the same but NSW Labor is rocking the boat.

:) Agree Old Man but at least we're not as bad as our so-called 'mother country'.

Mayhem in the UK from what I've read as the hopeful and ambitious campaign to replace Theresa May.

Drugs, sex and 'shock N roll' LOL.

If Ms Keneally were a man she wouldn't even be in the Senate.

Mr Shorten was able to paper over the cracks giving the resemblance of a unified front. Since his demise, we are seeing just how fragile that wallpaper actually was.

Why not, Michaelia Cash still is and she really should go

Oh boy that -- Michaelia Cash --  what a mouth from the Sth she is -- she is one person that has NOTHING going for her she should be gone -- she is well over due to be GONE!

Boy the knives are out for Labor on this. The one sided coments certainly identify who is locked into which side of politics just like footy supporters, my team right or wrong.

You may be right Tom Tank but you haven't refuted any of the accusations or opinions so one must presume that although you may not like them, you cannot prove them wrong.

Ne'er mind LJ, if Senior Match.com didn't work out for you, get yourself a pet, LOL
