Some knitting supplies websites have free patterns that you can download. Lovecrafts and Deramores details below:

Lovecrafts is my favourite website - type in yarn ply, type of garment, e.g. babies, children, mens, womens and you can find some very nice patterns. Other patterns you pay for via the cart and then download and print off. This website also sells knitting needles of all types - bamboo circular ones which I buy due to arthritis plus other accessories.
