Talking about the horrendous cat in the bin episode, don't know if you heard it over there, (probably not) but there was a guy over here fined $20,000 for kicking a kitten like a football in a park and then getting his big dogs to chase and kill it. He is now being harassed with death threats etc..........the thing is too, he is a 'retiree' and looks like he has been for quite a while, he seems to have a lovely home, wife etc.. his explanation was that the kitten was in his garden catching the birds which he and his wife love. Off with his head...never mind his legs. Grrrrrrrrr

Phyl, I was in tears the night they showed it on tv, and unfortunately they kept showing it over and over, he was videod by someone walking by with their mobile and reported him, I think that person needs a medal.

Having said all that the guy (who looked like he could have been in his 70s) has his backers as well would you believe, I want to hang them all in the nearest tree.

Makes you wonder how many other cats he's killed like that, the funny part (if there is one) is he is so remorseful now, probably because his life is being threatened and it has cost him $20,000.

I love birds also Deanna BUT cats are cats and it is

a shame some do kill birds and I hate that of course.

Our two cats are not allowed to roam in anyone's gardens ever

and they watch the birds feed every morning behind dark glass

so the birds cannot see them and get afraid, and the cats have a couple

of hours watching the birds feed which keep them occupied.

I do not think either of our cats would harm a bird but we make as sure

as we possibly can "never the twain will meet"

That rotten big strong regardless of being a retiree bloke getting

pleasure from torturing a few hundred grams of fur.

Deanna I did not see it on tele. and not even completely read

your post (sorry) as these cruel things stay in my mind and whereas

I am able to close the door on many thoughts upset me, where animals

are concerned I find it very difficult.

I am typing this with as often :) a cat on my shoulders and another on my knees

Earlier Expresso (Lucky) decided he was late getting his chicken so would not

get off the keyboard until I got up and got his dinner. Love em to pieces.
