What a gorgeous place, and beautiful photo's. Hope you are well Celia, long time no hear.
Sad though that many of these smaller islands will disappear as the effects of climate change take place.
Hi Incognito! I have not heard from you either, I came back I think a couple of weeks ago. Have been ok, could be better though, have too many auto immune issues now.
How are you keeping? How is your son?
Thought I would look for this Thread and bring it back, lots of the old threads seem to have drowned.
Find this relaxing looking at the planet, need something relaxing. I don't need confrontation it puts me off the site if that starts again.
Totally agree Celia, I stopped for awhile too because of too much nasty, but have already had one on another topic. Going to lay low these days, got better things to do, so if I don't comment does not mean I am not looking at the lovely photos. My son is busy studying web development, thanks for asking. Sorry to hear you still having issues with auto immune, have a read of Anthony Williams books if you get a chance. :)
A shed in the mist.
A photo I took in the Atherton Tablelands area of Far North Queensland.
Very relaxing to look at RnR, thank you for sharing.
It reminds of years ago I went to art classes and had to paint a rusty shed!
Nice spot to build a house, how nice. Love the Atherton Tablelands area, bit cooler than on the coast.
Spectacular ... have been to Jenolan Caves, the Capricorn Caves near Rockhampton (spectacular); the Undara Lava Tubes in Queensland (amazing) ; the Naracoorte fossil caves in South Australia (more amazing) and the Winton dinosaur trackways (fascinating).
I hate going into caves!! I think I have been in a couple of times [not this one] but I keep away now it is rather claustrophobic for me!
One day many years ago! I had a couple of trips with husband along this route; he had to go overseas to do an audit of the rail in Brazil for the World Bank, so I was left for two weeks, so I suggested to my late parents would they like me to drive them around Victoria, [as I had recent knowledge of doing this trip] they jumped at the idea and off we flew.
It was a lovely time, got out of the Airport and I hopped into a hire car and headed north west and down to Port Fairy and then back along the coast road, they loved it! So did I and it has lovely memories for me now in my late life.
The Great Ocean Road is such a wonderful trip Celia.
One of my pics from time spent there.
Fantastic photo RnR really lovely thanks for sharing.
Great shot RnR ... a lot better than some of the proffesionals.
Something different.
Sydney Opera House sails are illuminated with incredible 'water light' artworks created by six female indigenous artistsBadu Gili: Wonder Woman is an animated light show that will showcase the works of six Indigenous female artists on the eastern Bennelong sails of the Sydney Opera House every day at sunset, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Art Gallery of NSW.
Great photos Celia - I don't mind works of art being displayed on the Opera House sails, what I don't like is when they tried to advertise horse racing on them or any other advertising.
I agree re the advertising Hola. Really enjoy the other displays.
I cannot stand these adverts on the sails of the opera house! Must say I do also prefer the sails the way the architect designed them too.
Thought this was lovely but it did say where it was! I only know it is in Australia sorry.
Beautiful. Wonder if they are River Red Gums.
Hopefully we are over devastating fires ... until next year ... sigh!!
This is a guessing game!! I don't know where it is I am guessing Queensland?
South Australia?
