Jane Goodall warns against giving these gifts at Christmas

Dr. Jane Goodall along with fellow scientists, religious leaders, and celebrities are urging world aid charities to end animal gifting.

Animal gifting programs hurt gift recipients by burdening them with more mouths to feed in areas where food and water are often scarce.

They also worsen the climate crisis, decrease food stability, undermine sustainable development, contribute to animal suffering, and cause health impacts by promoting unhealthy western diets.

Watch her explain why you shouldn't take part in animal gifting below:

Have you given animal gifts in the past? Did you know about the potential problems that they could cause?

Good warning and particularly pertinent in pandemic times

After last Christmas, animal shelters on Australia's east coast were reporting a spike in the number of animals being surrendered in the wake of lifted lockdowns and eased restrictions.

Full ABC story.

I've had it up to pussy's bow with all those people who want to push their ideologies onto those who may not necessarily share their viewpoint. Vegans don't want us to eat ham or turkey for Christmas or give presents of leather belts or leather shoes. Greta doesn't want us to have a real Christmas tree, use electricity to light it up unless the electricity is from renewables or drive to see family unless we own an electric car which gets recharged by wind or solar. I'm going to enjoy Christmas with family, drive to their home in a gas guzzling muscle car, get stuck into ham and turkey and enjoy watching the little ones opening their presents which may or may not be acceptable to Jane Goodall, vegans or Greta. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all.

Fair enough ... have a lovely Christmas Horace Cope.

So you push your ideologies like all those you're complaining about. Stop being so negative and just ignore what you don't agree with and being a grumpy pussy and posting negativity.

Be happy, enjoy life, shun negativity, smile and have a merry xmas and a most positive and happy new year.
