I've been caught out

My wife insisted I have a hearing test because she reckons I'm losing my hearing - she had one too while we were there. Turns out she is the one that has problems and I got the all clear. :-) So she's just gone to Geelong today to get a further test to see if she needs a hearing aid - no way does she need a hearing aid in my book.

Anyway, I've blown it, she now knows for sure I switch off. She's been trying me out lately by asking such things as "What did I just say?" Oh dearie me! I'll have to concentrate a wee bit more if I want to keep getting hot dinners.
And I don't mean my salad in the oven. lol

You should be ashamed of yourself Hughie but you are not the only bloke does "turn off or tune out" when we

ladies get to chatting away. Just think how very lucky you are to have us says I....

If Mrs. Hughie does need hearing aids she will be very happy to receive them but you better watch out then, as anything said under your breath she will hear. Peter has just gone that route and hears everything I say now :)

We thought his hearing was fine but now he hears absolutely everything albeit he thought he did before he got them. Seems two are better than one as it equals out somehow.

be good

Phyl.

hehe I told you so - she's to come back in a year.

Hughie ~ Yes dear I hear you ;-)

Hughie I,m on your side me dear , I love to listen to my radio ,and sure as God made little apples , as soon as I want to hear something ,himself starts reading aloud from the paper ,or asking crossword questions and because he is a nice person, I grit my teeth and switch off otherwise I would have him by the throat ,yelling at him to shut his geggy
