I agree Phyl after watching Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay on TV.



Once you get past the swearing and look into the condition of most kitchens of restaurant businesses in financial strife and see the gross filth, cockroaches, rotten food etc.



It makes me wonder whats going on in restaurant kitchens here in our country and its enough to stop me eating out.

Yes I agree with Phyl--some dreadful things they do--also Hotel cleaning staff--makes you shudder

there is one on TV that has nasty fingernails ,they never look clean and also bitten yuk :roll:

He owns restaurants and is on the Lifestyle channel.

Reminds me of a fish and chip owner when I was a child, he had a finger missing,told he lost it in the chip chopper, I was always scanning my chips very carefully for that finger.

I don't have pay TV and I don't know who he would be

You have never watched Gordon Ramsay Jane? He says the F*** word over and over and over in front of everyone..

He goes to Restaurants going bad and he tries to get them going and making a go of it again.

Some of the Restaurants are SO dirty they have had to close them to clean them up before they could even contemplate making them a place to eat in. Cockroaches yes, mice yes, filth yes, outdated food yes, mould all over the place and just common old dirt piled high with the grease disgusting.

One place kept using old oil and just tipping new in on top of the old and that is downright dangerous and disgusting.

I watch so many chefs wipe their nose with the backs of their hands and then go arrange pieces of meat and veg. on people's plates.

I also always thought waitresses and cooks/chefs were supposed to keep their hair off the face but so many have hair waving all over the food and how many hands keep pushing their hair back to the extent some hair looks very greasy :

No never saw those--BOY he would have something to answer to then--he is so fast on pulling others into line about the same thing
