It's a beautiful day.

It's a beautiful day - because - I woke up this morning. I went for a walk with my dog and saw that there are still five ducklings remaining, despite the depredation of a fox. The sky was blue - the cold wind had disappeared. I have a roof over my head - enough food to eat - the water I drink is not contaminated. It's a beautiful day.

I am with you Bev. Peter and I walked outside at 6 a.m. for our walk and were hit

with the most beautiful warm breeze. Such a beautiful morning.

Life IS good and dosn't your dog make getting up each morn. a joy as animals are amazing.

Being a member of Simple Savings makes a great difference to many people's lives

as we learn to adapt so many things to our every day lives and enjoy things that do not cost money or Cheapskates is another good one. It becomes a hobby actually.

Sunday is a lovely day but hey so are Mondays (beats me why some people hate Mondays as they are 1/7th of our lives) so what a shame not to embrace them lol.

All the best

Phyl.

It doesn't matter what your life circumstances are - just as long as you have shelter, food and water - everything else is extrananeous. You may envy the neighbour next door, who has a swimming pool - or who has the latest digital sattelite dish for receiving the pay to air TV, in fact the latest digital everything, but life should be simple. As long as you have some-one to love - or something to love - life is good.

Yes I count my blessings every day--

You are all so right - enjoy what we have is my motto. I wake up in the morning and hear the birds, galahs, cockatoos, lorikeets, rosellas and many others I have yet to identify, and count my blessings. I have an uninterrupted view of the Brindabellas, and as is always the case with mountains, the view changes almost daily. I have just been out with the watering can (with water from my shower) to water some seedlings I put in yesterday. I live in a granny flat on my daughters property, and am lucky enough to have the company of their dog, a weimaraner, and a bumese cat, I have food, a very comfortable roof over my head and am still active and involved in the community, have a car and good friends, so LIFE IS GOOD.

I wake up each morning to the scream of our siamese, Seti, & think how wonderful it is to wake up each day alive. Then I get on here & read the musings of you lucky country folk. I have always hated any forms of personal envy or jealosy. So WHY do you have to rub it in???

Well Innes, we in Canberra have been called a lot of things, but I can't recall being called "country folk". :-))

Aren't we a all contented lot......? need something to ruffle our feathers.....or we'll all go costy.

Hey Jade, If you live in Canberra, I apologise, I am sorry, etc etc. I thought I was hard done by living in Sydney, BUT, you poor bugger!!! How come you are sharing with the cockatoos, lorikeets, Rosellas & many others? ( I understand the galahs. It is Canberra)
