Will get some answers.

I'd be talking to your accountant or financial planner Edward.

Professional advice would be my recommendation as it can be quite tricky depending upon whether your deceased partner had a binding death nomination and other factors relating to their super account.

According to the article linked to below ...

When it comes to how the death benefit will be received, the beneficiary will be offered two choices. It can be received as a pension and retained in the SMSF, if eligible, or it can be paid out of super as a lump sum benefit. It cannot be retained or transferred to the surviving beneficiary's accumulation account.

As I said above, get advice from a professional who knows IMO.
