Improve Coffee Taste

this hint may sound strange, but give it a go.  you will like it, if you like the taste of coffee.

i make plunger coffee from the ground beans.  to each pot, before adding the hot water, add a tiny, tiny amount of curry or chilly powder.  this will intensify the taste of coffee and you will not taste anything else.

remember - add only the smallest amount to your coffee.

if you don't like this idea, a tiny amount of salt also helps the coffee taste.

i usually add both salt and chilly - delicious!  even if you don't like eating curry, i think you will like this combination in your coffee.  if you can taste either the curry or the salt, then you've added too much.

You are right Kika - this tip does sound strange but will definitely give it a try - not much to loose

I presume you are drinking your coffee black and without sugar ?

With the current craze for milky frothy coffee the only way I find to get an old fashioned straight coffee is to order a long black with a drop of cold milk ....

I find the best way to get an old fashioned coffee is to make it yourself.

Coffee (like everything else) always tastes better when someone else makes it for you :)

3 easy steps to home made kopi luak.

1. Give coffee beans to cat for breakfast.

2. Sift through kitty litter for excreted beans

3. Wash beans and put through coffee grinder.

4. Percolate and enjoy

Note - washing in step 3 is optional

To add a bit of luxury to this delicasy add 30 mls of Creme Dementhe

Seggie. Once upon a time, if one ordered a cappuccino, the cup (or mug) was full of coffee and the froth extended way over the top. Now, you are lucky if you get more than three mouthfuls of actual coffee and the froth is just to the top. When I asked for hot coffee, I was told that the correct way to drink cappuccino is never really hot and that in Italy, it is not drunk after lunch.

I hope you said Iam not in Italy ,and I want my coffee hot I would have , but I am a stirwer from wayback , in the nicest possible way of course

Hey Taddy, welcome back, great to see you on here..... I don't drink coffee so it wouldn't matter where I was....lol
