Iconic car brand teases first car in 30 years
The DeLorean was well and truly a car ahead of its time when first released in 1981 with unique futuristic gull-wing doors.
A total of 8950 estimated units were produced before the company was shut down due to financial troubles in late 1982 with car owners suggesting the cars were poorly built and of low quality with an unsatisfying driving experience.
Three years later, the car became a cult icon when featured as the car used in the "Back To The Future" movie franchise.
Italdesign, a company founded in 1968 was the core designer of the DeLorean.
Fast forward 30 years. The modern DeLorean Motor Company is working with Italdesign to create a new DeLorean that is expected to be an electric car.
The Future was never promised. Reimagine today.
