‘I couldn’t give a s—t’: Barnaby

Perhaps the most galling moment of former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce’s interview on Sunday Night, was when he claimed he “couldn’t give a s–t about the political ramifications”, after deciding to contest the New England byelection without revealing his personal situation.

That particular comment revealed more than anything the way he feels about the voters in his electorate and he also admitted that he “was fighting more out of spite than logic”.

Barnaby then had the gall to refer to some of his colleagues as “the absolute scum of the earth … that’s the Australian Parliament”.

Did you watch Barnaby Joyce’s $150,000 interview on Sunday Night? What did you think? Is his position within the National Party still tenable? Should he resign immediately.

I wouldn't waste my time watching that miserable piece of ..... No, he should not resign, the National Party should kick him out. To call his colleagues "the absolute scum of the earth", is deplorable. He couldn't give a toss about the voters in his electorate either.  As Foxy would say STICK HIM IN THE BIN........

I didn't watch the creep last night on channel 7 too. I prefer watching Gracie and Frankie on Netflix. Australians should be throwing him out of the Senate instead of allowing him to rip them off.

Was too busy watching NCIS :)

But saw the bub in the news... what a beautiful child Sebastian is   Related image

It's a wonder they actually showed the baby's face. Other times when watching the news minors always have their faces blanked out. Lets face it, all babies are beautiful.

Didn't watch the Barnaby show, couldn't care less! He can "blame" everyone around him for his problems, but Barnaby, if you take the "me" out of it, all you get is bla, bla, bla!! Reminds me of the saying "a man stands in his own shadow and curses the darkness"! Question Time is enough of a circus, but this takesthe government down to a whole new level of "soap opera" stuff! For our sake, pollies, please get back to governing the country - we must be the laughing stock of the world!

Suze you big softy. All babies are beautiful. One woman last week called the mother a tart and the baby a bastard. Something wrong with people. Nice photo :).

Well done Barnaby. You shouldn't give a shit about the public or the voters. Your life and your new baby are more important. Stuff the public and their mean spirited comments.

I think they are both deceptive, dishonest, manipulative people. They deserve each other. New England and Australia does not deserve Barnaby though and his comments about fellow Nationals highlighted what we already know - that the man is lacking in loyalty. I think he should be sacked.

Two of biggest Morons, you could come across. (Sad to see a child out of this Moronic Behaviour)

This is what you would expect from Teenagers even than they wouldn't mouth off about everyone around them.

Both had very well paying jobs, then go put the wrecking Ball through their careers, senseless.

Joyce couldn't carelees about his family of Wife and daughters. (ex wife and daughters, separated whatever.)

Paid way too much in the first place. Now going after graby money from another Moronic Brian Snap.

I could safely say No More, just go Save Me, Us from this Moronic Behaviour.

The interview softened the public perception of the pair in my opinion. $150,000 is not a massive amount of money as the ads were about half the program anyway and also the spin offs will make more money as well.

It is not anyone else’s business but their own now they have set up family life. Sad for those who have been hurt of course!

Shocling that she was threatened and the PM spoke publicly rather than privately. Once again it shows the PM is governed by his controllers rather than being his own man.

Barnaby did not rubbish Labor but it was interesting he had such a poor opinion of the Greens.

Hope they are able to live in peace now with the beautiful baby.

I agree Kathleen. Hopefully this is the end of it although I am still expecting Barnaby to resign. He just seems sick of parliament.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Barnaby Joyce and Vikki, I am sure they will prove to be great parents to baby Sebastian. There will come a time too when Barnaby's other children will embrace their half brother even though they are probably hurting now. Vikki should not have felt she had to speak of an abortion to appease anyone.

What a cutie, picture by Channel 7.

He is sweet KIAH and I'm sure they will take good care of him, but my feeling is, most of the responsibility will rest with Vikki. I read recently Natalie and the girls want him back in their family and she has refused $500K to do interviews about him.

I did watch the interview and in my opinion there were shades of Bonnie and Clyde. I wasn't at all impressed with the reporter either.

I hope young Sabastian has a happy life. I hope youre right KIAH. I don't care about the voters. I accept that abortion may sometimes be necessary but I have to admit it makes me sad to think so. I recently saw those women in Ireland jumping for joy with tears of happiness because abortion was now allowed. I accept it but I see no reason to be happy at all.

Sorry - switched it off before it started. I am so sorry for Barnaby Joyce's family and the distress this interview must have caused.

One day he may wake up and see what damage he has done. My heart goes to all who cared and supported him over the years. The ones who were the backbone of his career, the strength in allowing him the gift of rising to such a high position in society.

I am really sorry that he has no idea how much damage he has done and I would really like Mrs Joyce to know my thoughts are with you.

I didn't watch the interview. I live in New England and do not want Barnaby in my living room. Poor Natalie Joyce and her daughters. I can only imagine how hurt they must feel while Barnaby exploits his new family for money.

I suppoerted the Liberals for 50 odd years. Then after Hockey called disabled rorters whilst he himself rorted the travel allowance to several multiples of $288 per night and proceeded to smash the retirement plans of all those who worked and saved Aka the working middle class. Then Turnbull announced he would return the Pensionner Concession card to all those who lost it due to Hockeys draconian changes, but even that was a lie. Only those who had between $813000 and $1.25mil  had it returned, those who had less than $800000 and lost it later that year, eg when their super balance flactuated over the $80000 mark did not. Now we have the Barnaby Joyce saga, and dont forget the $190000pa job specially created for her with Turnbull's OK so that she and BJ could continue their love affair. I hnow vote Christian Democrat and One nation.

Barnaby knows stuff that we don’t know like how it really is behind closed doors in parliament. I think there would be some concerns about his spruking too many secrets and truths. One example would be the Michaela Cash debacle and whether the PM is involved in that. The deals with big business would be another. In fact, the list is long!

I'm still bemused by the fact that two so-called media pros can misread/read/manipulate the public so well.

Barnaby Joyce was elected to the Senate at the 2004 federal election, taking office in 2005.

BB has 14+ years experience with the media I would think.

When Vikki Campion was 21 years old, the budding journalist was a cadet reporter at the Townsville Bulletin. A hard-worker, Vikki won News Corps’ Young Journalist of the year award. In May 2016, Vikki was employed in Barnaby's office as a media advisor to the deputy prime minster. Vikki continued a career as a journalist for 8 years until moving into media adviser roles for politicians.

Vikki, a journalist/media advisor by profession.

-----------------------------------

A win or a lose ... I'm not sure at this stage.

For BB&VC that is.

The fallout for others around them goes without saying.
