How much can I earn?

I am on an age pension and in addition receive approximately $320 every four weeks from the U.K. (can vary slightly with the exchange rate). I asked Centrelink how much I would be able to earn before it affected my pension and they gave me a spread sheet, which neither I, not the person who gave it to me, could work out. I don't want to work if I am not going to be benefit from it and at 70 years old, I don't want to work full time, Never thought it would come to this, but I am happy to help myself IF there is a viable solution. Is anyone out there in the part time or casual workforce and how much can you earn? Alternatively, does anyone out there have any legal solutions to put more money into the coffers?

If you are on the full aged pension you are able to earn $69 per week--(for a single person) so you will be getting $11 over the amount--Income over this amount will reduce the pension payable by 40 cents in the dollar for single pensioners and 20 cents in the dollar for couples.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that Plan B, I have been offered some casual work, so I will find out what they want to pay (it's in an office), and then talk to Centrelink.

As a single person, you can earn up to $1557.75 per fortnight, and still be eligible for a part pension, with all the benefits of the pensioner health care card. Go for it - earn money while you can, as long as you don't exceed the aforementioned amount.
