I laughed about Tom's comment about the divorce, but felt ashamed for all men with his racist, horrible tomcat comment regarding the "coloured girl" & worse. Men who think like this deserve to have half their house & contents taken from them. You reap what you sow, mate. If you treat her like a commodity then you've become a commodity, too.

Regarding her father not going to the wedding, I don't know why Harry doesn't meet Meghan and the church door with her mother Doria and they can walk down the isle together.  Charles and Camilla did in the same church in 2005!

Meghan's father is meant to be having heart surgery this Wednesday morning.

 Looks like nice families on both sides. Hope it all works out. Harry's got himself a great girl and the Brits have begun a love affair with her.

I do hope it's not so for Meghan and Harry..maybe they'll change the status quo PlanB..

It appears Thomas Markle had suffered a heart attack recently and that's one of the reasons he pulled out. There is some speculation that either Meghan's mother or Prince Charles will walk her down the aisle. I hope all turns out well. I feel sorry for her Dad.

Bijou, I know for a fact her Dad wouldn't get permission from the hospital, to fly, it would be highly dangerous. If he's not able to get over there I'm sure her Mother would be honoured to take his place. My sister's daughter had both her parents walk her down the aisle.

I am on holiday and away for the wedding but I will probably be home for the divorce.

This is one rumour I hope is true..that would stop the wagging tongues and certainly would do a lot for Prince Charles' image!

I'm sure "coloured girl" & "coloured boy" are both racist & derogatory. I know I'm pink-coloured but implicit in Tom's comment was brown, not pink. It's insulting either way.

Brown skin is much more attractive than pinky-white skin, I agree. So long as they're experienced, according to Tom. Calling people with dark skins "boy" or "girl" when they are clearly adults, is designed to belittle & is deliberately aggressive. There's a long & very tragic story about this from the southern states of America.
