Hinch
I see that within seconds of his Court ordered media gag expiring, Hinch was straight into Twitter to criticise the judge that sentenced him. I suppose this guy must have some sort of fan base or following in the media, but for me, his career has been one long quest for publicity and self aggrandisement. He revels in the title of "the human headline".
He prides himself on being a "maverick" or "loose cannon" in the media, but again, I simply see that as an excuse to flout the law in his constant efforts at self promotion. He does not strike me as showing any real talent in his writing or media presentation, but then, I obviously dont like the guy.
I was particularly vexed by the articles he wrote about Graham Kennedy, shortly after his death. I thought that a new "low" for journalism in this country.
Too right! I mean if he was gay, ('Yay!' you say) and didn't have views at odds with your own he would be alright and entitled to a tsunami of sympathy.(sic)
I probably wouldn't take either home for dinner and not because of their outspokenness nor sexuality but because they are both rather tedious, egocentric and as thick as two short planks.
BUT, both are due some understanding, empathy and sympathy for their health challenges. Hinch was lucky so far but as a liver transplant recipient he faces a life of hardship and uncertainty.
Frankly yours is a rather sorry attack on the man. What exactly has he done since his legal gag was removed to provoke that outburst against him? Hicks and others have done worse. As for his public persona, well he has to earn a quid too and he has had an audience in the past.
I'd be more concerned at the outpouring of sentiment for celebrities and wondering what that might do to other sufferers who might not have the resources, support and contacts of celebrities.
