Hi Morgan

I am having the same problem each time I try to get into the forum.

Will you please tell me how you fixed it?

Cheers

Goldie

Hi Goldie

I have to admit I think the problem was my fault..... I had logged in but I had not properly registered to go onto the forum. I started from scratch and when I had filled out the registration form for the forum..I was in and have not had any more trouble. You may like to try what I did, see if that works. Next I would like to find out how to put on an avatar and maybe add those little smileys.

Welcome to the site .

Regards, Morgan

Thanks for your help.

I will give it a try & let you know how it goes.

Hi Goldie

Would you believe that after I suggested you try what I had done..............I could not get into the forum......I was told again I supplied the wrong info though I had already logged into this part of the site. I hope you have better luck than me.

I don't really understand why the two separate login are required, ,,,anyway I don't make the rules. I will try again later but it is so hot here even with the air con in the lounge room and a fan over my head.. and I still work 4 days a week. Imagine a funny happy face here - until I learn how to add the real ones.

Cheers Morgan

Hi Morgan

I did as you suggested and I then received an email telling me that my registration had been completed but I would not be able to post anything in the forum until the site administrator notified me that it was ok. That was yesterday and I am still waiting.

I don't understand why people can't just log in once and visit and contribute to anywhere on the site

IMHO, this is certainly not the most user friendly site I have ever visited, which is unfortunate as it is aimed at seniors who were not "born into" the computer age. Anyway, I will persevere & see what happens.

Where do you live that it is so hot? I am in SE QLD & after all of the rain we have had, the humidity is unreal.....not to mention unpleasant. This is not a whinge as the rain was so badly needed and much appreciated.

You mentioned that you are still working. I finished work last Friday. I haven't had time to relax as yet....but rest assured that I'm working on it.

Must go now. Thanks again for your help.

Cheers. Goldie.

Good morning from Adelaide and its now cooler and we have had a little rain ..........Not much mind you but some

This forum and indeed the whole seniors web seems to have changed hands and although I have only just joined its a much improved forum I believe ..........It always takes me some time to find my way around and sometimes the system does require me to log on at each visit ...........This seems to me to be in the programme and Its a good idea to send an e mail to the administrator if any problems arise................I reckon that you will get a quick answer

Good luck and its nice to meet you .............clay

Hi Clay

I like this site as it is directed to seniors - not necessarily oldies though. I did have trouble getting in at first but now all is OK. It's been quite hot here in Perth but I think summer is over now and we are getting lovely autumn weather. I do think with this site that some of the comments could be "dropped" off the end after about 18 months so we have only up to date comments, ideas etc to look through. Do you know anything about making movies with video camera and computer ??? I have been trying to find out how I can clear a digital video camera tape after using and downloading. I find if I just tape over it, I always seem to get bit and pieces of the old stuff still on the tape. Any suggestions???? I like to make little movies of trips and zoo animals and of course the grand kids, which I think put on CD or DVD. Cheers. Morgan

Hi morgan

Sory to say but I can not give you a specific answer on this one ...........For instance I did not know that Digital Cameras use Tape but rather thought that the images were captured on a chip that is held within the camera itself

I always look back to the instruction book and there should be a simple way to delete stuff that you have taken ..........Hopefully a camera wiz in this forum will have some answers for you and good luck

Hi,

Sorry, I probably mislead you, my digital camera has a disk, which holds hundreds of still images. It is the movie camera I was referring to. The one I have is getting old now and it uses a small tape, just like the old VHS ones. I believe the new camcorders (read video camera) are much smaller now and have a disk of some sort to store the movie images. I guess I will just keep filming over and over and deleting the images that remain. The editing program I have is not that up to date either. - well that's another job for the retirement cheers to all.

Hi morgan

It may be time to buy a new tape and continue to use it over and over .as you have done with the old one .......Things could be much improved for you .............cheers
