Hello world

This is my first post here. I'll look forward to posting on a regular basis. Just to introduce myself, I am a 69 year old, married, retired electrician with three kids; a daughter in Scotland, a son in London, who will shortly be in Canada, and a son in Brisbane. and no, no grandkids, yet.

Hello to you and welcome from another almost newie, Thought you were John Laws saying Hello World lol

Hello Liana. And no, definitely not John Laws. "Hello world" is the traditional first words used by computer programmers starting out. I'm did a bit of that in TAFE, but have forgotten the little that I learned.

Welcome Concar. Looking forward to your input on this great forum.

Thank you, Moggy, but I have a feeling that my stay here will be rather brief.

Are we not scintillating enough?

Welcome Concar--good t have you here

No, I'd never be so rude as to say that. One particular poster got to me last night, that's all. I'll stay around a little longer, and see how things go.

Welcome Concar--good t have you here

Thank you, PlanB.

And a welcome from me also concar .........The Crows are not doing so well .............LOL

Welcome concar - I am relatively new here and hope you will stay. You will see some negative comments from some people when they don't agree with you, but don't let that deter you. Those people hopefully are in the minority, and it would be a shame to lose a new poster because of this minority. The site needs some positive input. Not everyone is going to agree with everything that is said, and constructive critcism makes for a good debate, but straight out negativity is just destructive. How can we seniors possibly make a difference if we only complain and never offer up solutions for debate? Please stick with it.

Thank you, Clay. And sorry, but as a banana bender, I have no idea what you you mean by your Crow comment.

Thank you for the encouraging words, Rusty123. As you can see, I'm still around, albeit lurking...
