Has anybody used. - Light N Easy. -?

Hi everybody - talking with a friend and they swear by Light n Easy so i wonder what your opinion is?

I am a type 2 diabetic and wonder if they cater for people with that.

Would appreciate your opinions. As pensioners we are doing pretty well but things that would save my wife some work would be good.

Kindest regards,

Peter

Put the fish down and ring them yourself bro. Don't worry about saving your wife work, our wives really like looking after us and bossing us about.

Thanks for your time but you didn't even understand the question -

would you really expect a supplier to give an unbiased opinion ?

this is just one reason for using a forum -

have a nice day

Peter

Have you changed your avatar and user name ???? I always thought that your avatar added a sparkle to the page on your postings.

Different diets work for different people, so my thoughts on it would be to try it out and see how it works for you ... I do believe that they offer a money back guarantee.

Personally I have not tried LIght & Easy.

Retrep, you also missed the point.  You asked two questions, one of which might be answered here.  As for the other, you need to call the company and discuss the issue of diabetic friendly food.  You could even check their website, it will probably answer your question.  However, you might need to factor in the possibility that anything out of the ordinary, may attract a higher charge.

Retrep, obviously you did not see the value of my comment.  Why waste time, why not get the information straight from the horses's mouth? Here is a link which you may find useful

Friendly tip, it's gonna cost ya!

Hi Peter, Yes I have used Lite' n Easy many times and will continue to use them when I feel like it. I find the menu very good and you do have a choice of calories. It is not easy to get them served on a nice plate as you may have seen on TV because they come in microwave suitable cartons. Regarding type 2 diabetes mine is controlled by 1 tablet daily and had no problems with the Lite n easy food. Phone them and have a chat with their helpful operators.

Hi everybody - good morning yep i have become as plain as some others on the site - sick of their stupid comments and appreciate that while - empty vessels make most noise - this change will shut them up - maybe

Thanks for telling me about your experience with Light n Easy - i was concerned about the carb count but if it caused you no problems thats what i need to know

i was on metformin but doctor took me off them - what i would like to know is how much fridge space would we need there are two of us contemplating the 1500 cal program lunch and dinner for five days each

did you just heat yours in a normal microwave - ours must be over twenty years old so maybe an upgrade is in order

kindest regards and thanks again

peter

I am very puzzled, how come there are two "Banjos" both with the same joining date?

I have not posted for a while, but I wanted to draw attention to this. Any explanation Peter?

Looks like my original joining date has been reinstated, very mysterious.

Hi and sorry if i pinched your name but had no idea it was even used

cancelled my usual because of some dills on this site and this was available

can easily change mine but wonder how to know what is available or someone else might be shocked

I will change mine now

bye

Hey Banj, nice to see you. Is this a one off because Peter pinched your name, or will you be coming back?

there we are - wonder if this is ok

I prefer Peter with the fish. Don't be so thin skinned.

I have no idea about Light & Easy -- but am interested myself now--as in what is the price --roughly -- seems you have to join up t find out these things?

Please tell me how it works please

yes you can see all the prices on their web site in melbourne.  i am still finding out

so far it sounds really good but seems high in carbs so will ask my doctor and let you know what she says

they have a keto range that looks interesting - wonder how big a fridge space is needed as well

kind regards

peter

We haven't used Lite n Easy but are about to get our first delivery of Dinnerly for 4 meals per week.  Two of our daughters swear by it and thought we would give it a try.  There's about 20 recipes per week from which to choose.

lucky family - looking forward to your opinion and how much space is needed in fridge - we are considering 5 days per week and lunch and dinner for both of us

kind regards

peter

Hi there,  I have tried Lite & Easy many years ago, they do have a very large menu, but I must say that I didn't like it all that much - just a personal opinion.  It's also worth having a look at Meals on Wheels, they have just expanded their menu and I find that nearly all their meals are really nice.  I am vegetarian so my choice isn't as large, but still good enough.  I get normally 4 meals per week, plus dessert and/or soup for under $40.  Their website is www.mow.net.au.  You do need to get an assessment from My Aged Care, but that's not difficult.  Good luck.

We are Lite n Easy devotees, been getting them for more than two years now.  Yes, they are quite expensive, but not more so than most other prepared meals, and the delivery is free unless you choose to pick a different day than the free one.  There is no waste, so it's a swings and roundabouts thing, just my opinion.

We order a full five-day menu, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Our breakfasts and lunches take up two shelves in the fridge section.  So if you are only ordering lunch, one shelf should be enough.  Our fridge shelves are roughly 40x40cm.  The 10 frozen dinners fit comfortably (five at the back and five in front) on one freezer shelf which is 30 wide, 50 deep and 20 high.  Hope that helps.

Edited to add ...  frozen dinners measure 21.5x16x3

If you get it and don't like it is it easy to cancel?

Sad to say Light n Easy has far to many carbs for us so looking at diabetesmealsonline  they do not need refrigeration either so worth a try anyway

thanks for all your help

kind regards   Peter

My personal opinion is: If you like tasty foods, then Lite and Easy is not for you.

I like TASTY food so not for me then
