An easy way to peel a mango

Have a REal dirty Car:

To wash, warm water + eggcup full of KEROSENE + a good car detergent.

The Kerosene will lift the grease & grime with ease.  Hose off!

Next you will have to rewash the car with just detergent & rinse & dry.

the car will look as if has just been polished.

You only need to do this every tthree mnths or so...cheers.

Sounds like the way to go gdad and welcome to YLC.

Just curious though. Do you know this chap ?

Thanks for the tip .... I would have been worried to use Kerosene on my paintwork.

I usually use a hose spray on window cleaner and a soft broom and then hose it off,  drive around the block and then dry.

What forum do you come from gdad ?

Thanks Gerry: 'tis me from another forum!

Only found this thie other day still fiding my way around.

Abby; Greypath & silver peers;

You know the tar & bug remover you can buy in a pressure pack well the base in that is kerosine.

As long as you rewash & rinse & dry there is no prob;em.

I have a white toyota camry & ido this procedure every 3 months 7 just wash it normaly in between. once a yeari wax the car... Cheers1

Welcome gdad. nice to see a new face! Like your tip about the car wash, won't use it on my car (it's new), but it sounds as if it would work a treat on my ute.Thanks.

BTW you're from Greypath, you must know Mussitate then!

He may be there under another name perhaps ???

Thanks for the advice gdad,

never knew the base for tar and bug remover was kero based... you learn something new everyday

Much appreciated :)

Ray, can't reconise the name.....cheers

.......for anyone who has SILVER cutlery - silver dishes -  candlesticks etc. that need cleaning......  I found this amazing tip out (only AFTER I had cleaned everything last Xmas/Easter etc., ) and was in definite ARGH mode.....lol....messing with yukky silver cleaner/paper towel/soft cloths etc. etc.

Get a large piece of aluminium foil from roll.....put into a large dish (like baking tray or any large dish) ...put it in SHINY SIDE UP .........(.facing you.)......put in cutlery or whatever silver needs cleaning ......sprinkle items with ONE HEAPED TABLESPOON Of SALT  ........ pour over BOILING WATER ...enough to cover item(s) ........ leave for a few mins...... rinse in warm water ......VOILA ......SILVER THAT LOOKS LIKE NEW!   :-)  :-)

Thanks Foxy!  It would probably work on my oven shelves as well.  Currently I soak then in Vanish and that works well (my oven shelves I mean).
