I can't respond to the Celebrities buying pubs comment so I will answer it here and see if it puts new life back in the old thread...
I am not a celebrity but I adore British pubs, along with the pickled eggs, cockles in vinegar, pork pies, and potato crisps....
So if there is one going for a song...I'll put in an offer..
I am in good voice and I can warble a few British pub tunes too...

Lived just outside London Thea...but always loved our English pubs...I would have loved to have bought one over with me and set it up here...
I rather fancied being a landlady...

Wow cranky...you're thinking of buying a pub! Are you looking for one here or in the UK? I love English pubs..and..if you're ever in need of a couple of experienced barmaids...Mari and I are dab hands at pulling a pint.
When our allowance ran out while we were at Uni...and it usually did...we both worked a few weekend hours at The Trout Inn Oxford. Great fun!!
