GET IT OFF!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about other members of this forum but recently when trying to read others posts I have a weather report popup on the right hand side of the page which is obscuring part of the message. There is no "close" to click on and I am getting really frustrated trying to get rid of it.
Do others have this problem?
GET IT OFF I say!!!!

 Yep ditto - very annoying as it usually kncks out most of first on new post.

Yes moggy I have the same problem and its a pain in the butt...............Its time that the boss fixed it .........

hi moggy,a few weeks ago i was having trouble with adverts all down the right hand side of the screen obscuring the posts so i could only read parts of them,i contacted admin and that problem went but now i'm having the same as you, that blasted weather forecast,it's a pest,

hiya clay,it seems to be following us around because you also had the adverts as well didn't you:

Yes, the ads are a "major pain".......I acknowledge that advertising is necessary to help fund the site......not much in life is truly "free" these days. It would however, be sensible to regulate how the ads appear.....maybe a banner across the top or bottom of the page. It does become MOST annoying when you cant read a post due to a superimposed ad.

Maybe its now fixed Wendy because it seems OK but may come back to haunt us ............I have other problems too that have been mentioned

Bigger font size would help very much .............

Hi Clay, the options for font sizes are just above the reply box, when you open reply or post a message

Well the temp ad has gone but I have problems with this site - is it still in teething stage?

when I click onto email and get here - it doesnt allow me to automatically log on and there are two seemingly log on widows?? I have the cookie protected in CCleaner when I clear my cache daily so should log in automatically - FF also fills in when cookie not working.

Then you go to home page and have to find topic you were looking at again - so I go back to email and click on link then find logged in when logging in is still taking place on another tab. Weird.

Yes see the smiley's are not working now - must admit didnt check as it is slow loading.

Re font size Clay - do you use Firefox? I do and can get larger fonts on any web page by using FF's options. I still am using Firefox 2.0.16 as the new one Firefox 3 is not compatible with some of my programs yet. Not sure about IE as only use IE6 as 7 mucked up my computer too many times - so rolled back also use XP not Vista.

yes i understand the site is having teething problems, last night i tried 3 times to put a question

on ,i had been looking at the meeting place photo's and said it would be nice if they put the names of the people so we could put a face to all the lovely people who write on here but it wouldn't go through,

ps i still have the weather forecast on my screen.

I haven't had those problems - yet! Just getting here is an exercise in patience. I can sometimes try a couple of days before I connect! Oh well - just as well we older people do have a bit of time.

Thanks koko will give it a go ASAP.......clay

Nothing good happened mate ............clay
