First time travel advice needed!

Hello guys,

I'm a first-time traveler. I need your advice. I am going to visit my cousin's family next month in Europe. As I am new and don't have a better experience of going to other countries. So looking for your suggestion. What will you suggest for a newbie like me? All of my necessary papers are ready right now. Just to confirm my ticket for a reliable agency. I have been searching for online travel guides. How much reliable they are?

Please let me know in your reply. Thanks in advance.

I am sure some will help you Matt,  I have not traveled O/S just in Aust'and a few Islands O/S hope you have a great time and get some help.

Mate, I don't know if you're bona fide or not, but anyway, on your first trip a must see is Norway, then Austria and Switzerland. Enjoy yourself.

Don't go,I tell you, don't go. Its a jungle out there!

Talk to strangers, try new things, don't get drunk, keep your money safe.

Well for a start you have family where ever you are going (Europe is not a country its a continent with many different countries) so I would hope they are prepared to show you around to start with.

If you have a smartphone, download a map for where you are going. You can get them free, that way you will always be able to find your way around.

Take more than one sourse of money, i.e. cash, cards and make sure you have a card that allows you to access your bank account here so you have access to back up funds if necessary.

Spend some time on-line before you go looking up local sites, museums or whatever you are interested in.

If you are looking for published guides then Lonely Planet or Rough Guides are both worth a look for places to go, things to see, where to eat, where to stay etc. They are quite expensive and do make sure you get the most up to date version.

Make sure you have travel insurance. Pack light. Try the local food - be adventurous. Take medication with you for diarrhea. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes. Get to know people and listen to their advice. Have a good time.
