Feeling a bit soggy

Just feeling a bit soggy again today - Yep, you've guessed it - rain, rain, and more rain!

Would you believe that it is now three months since I advised the Dept of Housing about the problem I had with a burst pipe?

Yes, the pipe has been repaired, but I still have a bedroom with the the wardrobe doors leaning against the wall.

Was told that it might be a 20 day work day problem. Guess I'm getting used to it now. Like after the 1996 floods. Maybe sometime, maybe never. Not repaired, even yet, even 13 years later.

Yes Bev we have had rain for the past 3 weeks everyday and night--however I am not in your position thank goodness, I hope that they do something about it soon for you.

Not holding my breath! Told them that I'm really past lugging sand bags around, and I am. My shoulders, back and hips have been giving me curry since then. Oh well, pay cheap rent, get cheap responses. Shouldn't be this way, but it is. At least, for the most part, it is a roof over my head. Never mind, it will probably be cared for in the future.

Bev, I do feel for you. If I were in your position, I'd be flooded out by now, as I can hardly lift anything .

On the other hand, wouldn't we love to see some of the rain here!

Our dams are down to 25% capacity...the lowest ever. Very serious. Rain has threatened for a few days, we get a little drizzle and then nothing.
