Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has ordered his department to stop paying social media influencers

Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has ordered his department to stop paying social media influencers.

The Daily Telegraph revealed on Friday the Health Department had spent more than $600,000 in taxpayer funds on the #girlsmakeyourmove social media campaign over the past 18 months.

"At my request, the department is pausing and reviewing any use of influencers," Mr Hunt said in a statement.

"There would need to be a demonstrated benefit and demonstrated suitability of any individual going forward, for this to recommence.

"This would need to include a thorough assessment and vetting process linked to improving the health of Australians."

What a lot of dirty scum these Liberal politicians are spending OUR money too bribe

The current government has set up propaganda houses already.  Putin has them.  Kim Yong has them.  Now Australia has them and you can see the Coalition scum in operation on THIS website.  The characters are easy to spot.

Greg Hunt?  Mr "you have high electricity prices because of the Carbon Tax"?  What can I say other than those who voted in this stoolie need to go take a long hard look in the mirror.  But then maybe his electorate is wating tax cuts and would vote for Dracula to get them.

Yes Mick we can certainly see the propaganda machines in action on this site, time to come clean Mick. Who are you really, which of the opposition members are you working for, no wonder you could retire in your 50’s after working for slave wages all your life, the reality is you haven’t retired you are currently in the employ of either Labor or one of the unions, which is it? No one is being fooled any longer, must admit though you have been having a laugh for a while, nice one.

I have also been getting emails from the Labour asking me to donate $20 to go in the draw to get a tea towel with Bob Hawks face on it -- BOY did I email back with an answer

Gee!!!

They only asked to donate $5 for the Bob Hawke teatowell

...can you think of anything worse ??

There must be a lot of @)? out there ... hope they are not the whining pensioners that are crying they do not have enough money.

Plus $25 to go into a DRAW for the Bob Hawke tea towel --  they really must think people are mental

Guess I did not read that far before I blitzed it  Related image

Sorry to interrupt your Saturday but I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss out.

We’re just a week away from the July 28 By-Elections and we can’t leave anything on the table.

To support our wonderful candidates across the country, we’re running a raffle where you can win a limited-edition Medicare tea towel signed by Hawkie!

For a donation of just $20, you will go into the draw to win. Click here to donate and go in the draw.

Every dollar raised will go towards supporting our campaigns at the July 28 by-elections.

And these by-elections are important because they’re a chance for us to send Turnbull a message that we don’t want his $17 billion tax handout to the banks.

So donate just $20 and you’ll be supporting our fantastic campaign teams plus you’ll go into the draw to win a rare piece of Labor memorabilia.

In solidarity,

Penny Wong
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate

A short note on donations, ++++

The Liberals have their backers from the big end of town, but we're proud to be building a new style of Australian political campaigning: funded by small donations from tens of thousands of passionate community members like you. Will you be one of our generous donors? Whatever you can afford — even if it's just $3 — will make a difference to the future of our country. It takes just two minutes. Thank you.

Or upwards of $20. Funniest thing I've heard all day LOL. Thanks folks.

Who was the Department Head in the Public Service who signed off on this?

Australia needs to get rid of the Federal Government as it stands. We could vote using the blockchain as other countries have already done and then using the transparency of the distributed ledger, we democratically prioritize issues and charge our Public Service with the fulfilment of the public's plans.

We would save a motza in salaries, admin and on-going pensions to these idiots and we might just survive as something other than a Chinese raw materials resource and food factory.

Toilet paper with Bob Hawke's face on it would sell like crazy ...

Yes, I have experienced this on my local Facebook group when I tried to make people aware of the My Health Record privacy breach.

The comments were such gutter comments that either targeted the man and not the ball, tried to deflect or tried to ridicule the contributor.

I was rather disappointed in the Liberal party social media influencers because if you are going to talk to intelligent concerned people don't treat them like fools. If they can't debate with a level of civility then the $600K is wasted.

What Greg Hunt doesn't realise is that people who are concerned about the breach of privacy laws and our civil rights aren't speaking out because of ignorance or political bias. Its because we know exactly what is going on.

No matter what my political orientation I was incredibly disappointed in a Liberal Member and Minister for Health making trivial brush off comments on the ABC. Nothing untoward has happened so far because no one knew they had personal access to their own records and their family member records. No one knew that law enforcers no longer need a warrant to access medical records - and that is this year, 2018. The method of instalation of the system has changed since its recommendations in 2015. Who knows what they will do by 2020.

I live in a marginal seat and should my local member continue to chose to not address my concerns then I am afraid that the My Health Record system may well mean a change of Federal Government.

We are not fools, this is a quantum shift in civil liberty and privacy. The government has put themselves above the law of the land. I don't care which political party is responsible for this. I am standing up and speaking out for all those who do not know what they are losing and I hope somehow the message can reach all Australians.
