Exchange Accomodation

I had a link (and lost it) for a website people exchanging accomodation.
You have someone stay with you in your home, and then you
can stay at someone's home from the list of people who joined.

This is Australia wide only. If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it.

Good Luck

Thanks, but i don't think this is it.

You have a guest at your house and you do not have exchange with them

but anyone out of the group. So I can have someone from Sydney with me

and go and stay with someone in Brisbane etc.

Really miss you Mara :( Wonder how you went with the accommodation swap?

Phyl.

Hi Phyl, nice to be missed! thank you.

I just managed to login; read elsewhere that moderator was on holidays bless him, so have to forgive him for all the headaches we had;)

Still bugged about that other website re accomodation. Tried everything to pick it up on Google.

I have a spare room so can easily have someone stay over and I'd love to drive to NSW or remote SA or....just to have bit of a holiday. Accomodation is a killer if you live on a budget.

Years ago a lady was on a way to WA by train and wanted stopover in Adelaide. It was lovely for both of us.

So good to have you back Mara.

It seems like a great idea for seniors to have a holiday which does not break the bank.

I hope someone knows of the web site and lets us all know about it.

Would work for o'seas people also. Especially as New Zealand is not all that expensive so with no accommodation dues to pay other than living expenses sounds like a great idea.

All the very best my friend

Phyl.

Here's a good one

Hey Mara how's U -

Things going well? Your health good? Are you making Kefir and Yoghurt?

I still find walnuts a god send - now if I could just get of codeine for migraine life albeit fantastic

that would be the icing on the cup cake lol

All the best.

Phyl.

Hi Phyl,

Nice to hear from you. I suppose it has been busy for us all over Xmas with family and visitors and all that food!!! I made lots of biscuits - have almond tree so it is easy and rich, lots of butter too. Supposed to be on strict diet, no sugar! and there's me not enough just a biscuit, I pour icing sugar on top***

Yes still making kefir and then strain it to make cottage cheese. Mix in 2-3tb spoons of linseed oil - the sulphered protein in cottage cheese makes the oil water soluble therefore easily absorbed by the cells. Actually it seems to be more absorbed by my hips than anywhere else.

Only one of three children came at Xmas but that was nice. A 40yo telling me how to drive the car, how to cook, decorate the house... lots of fun grin grin.

Be well and have a "happy" new year*** mara

I love things with icing on also but restrict myself as I know you do most of the time lol

I also like the linseed seeds and my new cheap mortor and pesstle makes smashing them

open easy. I do those and then a handful of walnuts and then onto low cal. ice cream

The fruit is abundunt right now and how lucky are you with an almond tree. Did you know just a few almonds

a day are supposed to prevent cancer? so they would also be a good treatment wouldn't you think?

You must have a healthy gut with your kefir. I do buy yakault and have a course every now and again but it is expensive and never sure it does any good. We take a lot of vitamins but would not say we are over the top healthy just shorter of money for other necessities I suppose .We all spend our money differently don't we...

My daughter was telling kids at school how many vitamins Peter and I take each day and one bright spark

said "gees they must be very healthy as my daughter told them the vitamins stretched right along the table

lol. My daughter thought for awhile and said "I don't think they are THAT healthy" oh well she is right but what

wuld we be like without them I ask.

Phyl.

Kefir is probiotics and much stronger than yogurt.

Once you get your stater - grains as are they call it pour some milk and presto 24 hr later it is ready. I used to make yogurt but find kefir much easier re temperature etc.

You keep grains for the next lot. Actually ground linseeds in kefir go nicely togather. Something else that is very good is lecithin - apparently it breaks down fats in the body.

Another important thing I have learned from a naturopath since discovering had cancer is using Lugols to kill viruses candida etc which devastates body organs. For him it is number one . Anyone with alergies or skin condition will benefit.

Many of these natural things are powerful and they do the job without poisoning the body.

Phyl, you seem to be taking so much vitamins etc. Perhaps do some research to make sure you are not taking things that may work against ea other.

From Mara:- Kefir is probiotics and much stronger than yogurt.

........................

I will buy some starter Mara. I like the idea.

..................................

Like you I am well read re vitamins (I am not sure any do us much good to be honest)

but we do take them and yes many different things and we have beautiful

"urine" could dye clothes lol.

When a relative came back from the war he brought Malaria tablets and

my Mum and Aunty dyed everything yellow with them lol.

All the best and stay well

Phyl.
