Exactly how much do Pensioners receive each fortnight please

Could someone be good enough to tell me how much a married couple and the single person also receives each fortnight with pharmaceutical benefits and utilities etc. I have looked up Centrelink but cannot find the complete amount just the base before the extras.
Thanks.

As a single pensioner I get $671.90 p/f.

I think this is the maximum amount for singles but not sure.

Yes Max for singles is $671.90 per fortnight ------ Married is Max $1013.00 fortnight

Thank you ladies. Appreciate that.

Actually Korry a married couple doesn't get 'anything'

They are people and since 1995 Paul Keating actually made sure of that and paid each one separately. the old method of paying the husband died then and the woman became a client of Centrelink.

Why in 2009 they persist in this is merely a way of saving money by discriminating against the marital status and from July this year the sexual status of gay people who live in a relationship.

Paying them less. A whole lot less.

A married person get paid $232.10 per week base Age Pension and supplement for a married person is $21.15. Total per week = $253.25 or $506.50 fortnightly.

A single person gets paid $310.56 per week base pension and supplement for a single is $25.39 a week.

total per week = $335.95 per week or $671.90 fortnightly.

As you can see being married it costs each person

$82.70 a week less or $165.40 fortnightly.

Big saving to the government of $330.80 for each pair of married or gay people living together in a recognised relationship.

Hooray for those savings and when will they also pay the MP's Senators Judges and Public servants by the same relationship method? Come to that all awards and contracts ! Just has to be good for the environment does it not!

Thanks for that info. BigVal. Very interesting.
