Anyone see this film? My daughter saw it and said everyone should watch it but I missed it,  and now my grand-daughter when we saw ithe video out shopping asked me to buy it so we could watch it, will do so at the end of the month.

"Set in the year 2154 two classes of people exist, the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated ruined earth....." With Matt Damon.

will post more on what I think of it when I have seen it, sounds like a social commentary and am interested that 2 younger generations feel it is a "must see"

I have seen it - not a bad movie and well produced. Thought provoking when you compare it todays world with our "haves" and "have nots".

does anyone ever think about the "have nots" who become the "haves" and good on them I say.

Love to see people who have worked hard, strived to get what they want and eventually get there.

I could name quite a few who came from poverty and raised themselves up.

One who comes to mind is Kerry Stokes and he also gives back as quite a number do, many anonomously.

He was taken from an orphanage by his adoptive parents and lived in Melbourne during the Depression and lived a hard life apparently.
