Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers. A friend recently took a fairly upper echelon job with a WA mining company. About to start in 2 weeks. Got a phone call from the company regarding the purpoted "shelving" of the exploration/operation. Was told it was a ploy to bargain with the government. It would go ahead - the job was secure.
