Diabetes cook book

Can anyone recommend a good diabetic cookbook? I have "type 2" and there are now many of lifes pleasurable foods that are "off the list" for me. I have looked at a few cookbooks, but many of the recipes (in my opinion) fall into the "cardboard and rabbit food" category. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I can't really help you--and I am sorry that you have this--my Son also has it--but he lives far from me--I will ask but I am sure that he doesn't have one.

Have you looked here

kfchugo, The better homes and Gardens publishers put out a monthly magazine for diabetics I get it for my son and post it to him, it,s very good, plenty of info and recipes for one and two people, I simpathise with you having diabetes, it must be a horrible thing to suffer from, my Son is on tablets but his diabetes still fluctuates all the time, just go to your local newsagent and they will help you to find the magazine, I think it is just called Food for diabetics I am not sure of the title because I don,t have one here at home. best of luck havery29

How are you coping well with the darn diabetes kfc.

Must have been a bit of a shock for you as you like your food and such a good cook.

Not much we can do when something comes along other than cope is there :(

Still, thank goodness diabetes is one of the things the person with it can control most of the time yes?

I hope you are on tablets rather than injections but I think you still have to prick the finger a few times every day? Bad for you but SO difficult for people with babies/little kids with it, as I think the kids are little soldiers with what they go through all their lives (to date anyway). Please God there will be a cure for diabetes as soon as possible.

All the best

Phyl.
