Dan Murphy's and BWS product recall

A range of pre-mixed Kahlua espresso martinis have been recalled due to a labelling error.

The cans are sold at Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores in all Australian states and territories and in independent retailers including IGA in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.

The recall notice was initiated by producer Pernod Ricard Winemakers due to a misrepresentation of the alcohol content.

The recall notice says that there is an incorrect alcohol by volume (ABV) number of 4.5 per cent on the cans.

The cardboard wrap correctly states the ABV of 7 per cent.

Watchdog Food Standards Australia says products with an incorrect ABV can lead to intoxication and subsequent injury or illness if consumed.

Customers who have bought the product should return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
