Crazy Weather

Watching the weather in England and Europe, how bad it looks, and is, according to my sister in Yorkshire.
Reminds me of when I was a kid, we woke one morning and the snow was up to the window sills, no-one could go anywhere, not even the front gate.It is so silent when it is just snow it is suddenly there and overwhelming. The worst winter in decades they say about the present icy conditions.
Over here we have terrible heat, drought, floods and unseasonable days.
Other countries are having severe weather extremes, makes you wonder alright.

Yes it sure is crazy --some of my friends were going to go on the Ghan rail to Darwin to see it in the wet season--but it was cancelled because of too much rain and the rail was washed out.



However I have pics of Niagra Fall frozen over in 1911

And we had a 45 C day and another hot one predicted for the next 2 days ...........45 is 113 F

How awful for you all Clay, I expect we will get our turn up here but at the moment it's pretty good,

I hope the bushfires can be controlled too, Some people have suffered enough I think.

Thanks for your concerns lolih..........we live inner suburbs so the fires that are likely to skirt the City will not burn us

..

The AC has been turned on all day and night and because we have two split system 2 HP units we are well covered ...............assuming of course that the power does not go off ...............if it does then I fill the bath immediately

Oh I do feel for you Clay--my friends that were to go on the Ghan had their air fare and Acom booked in SA to be ready for the Ghan--and so thats where they are for a week :( It was hot enought here at about 35--
