Cool down with a DIY air conditioner

These DIY air conditioners will only take a couple of hours and not much money to make, and while they won't be able to cool your entire house down these low power units will act as a supercharged cooling fan. So if you point them towards you, you'll feel icy cool even in intense Australian heat.

Yes I saw something like this a few months ago and thought what a great idae for those places that you need an A/C but can't afford one

Just looking at it the parts look as if they were going to cost more than $8 Related image

Just came across this article. YES it would cost more to make in Aust as this is a YANK idea. Possibly a good idea and worth a try. As with anything be very careful.
