Consumer warning against popular water filter company

NSW Fair Trading (NSWFT) is warning consumers to avoid water filter company Tru Water.

NSWFT executive director Valerie Griswold says it has received more than 350 complaints about Tru Water since April 2020.

“Consumers have complained about delayed and partial delivery of orders, products substituted without the customer’s consent, and misrepresentation of goods advertised on the website,” she says.

Over on product ratings site productreview.com.au, Tru Water has been given a two-star rating by customers.

“I ordered a $35 tap and my credit card was charged $55,” one reviewer states.

“So I talked to a bot on their website. In the end, I didn’t get a refund for the extra charge neither did I get the tap.”

Have you had any dealings with Tru Water? What was your experience like?
