Coles giving away free $99 coffee machine

This Mother's Day, Coles is giving away free Vittoria coffee machines valued at $99 with every purchase of six packs of Espressotoria pods.

The promotion will run from April 20 to 24th in stores and the machine comes with a one year warranty.

The Espressotoria pods are priced at $9 for a 12 pack, so for $54, you receive the machine and pods for 72 cups of coffee!

I've personally held off paying $100+ for a coffee machine since moving into my new apartment but will be taking up this offer when it hits stores at Coles. 

Do you use a pod coffee machine? Would you purchase one again if your current machine breaks down?

I prefer to grind my own coffee with a manual grinder.

I also use Nestle Decaf in the evenings.

More 'stuff' going into landfill!  The manufacturer say the pods are recyclable but can't make up its mind if they are made from aluminium or plastic. Recycling sites say they are too small to be picked up for recycling. Don't kid yourself these are not coffee machines, they don't make coffee that was done in a factory, they are simply dispensers to get consumers to use more of them. 

Grinding our own coffee saves money, allows us to adjust the blend to suits our own taste and reduces landfill.

I live in Mackay Queensland, I contacted my nearest Coles, they said they knew nothing about the offer.

I then rang Coles Customer Support, they said they would look into it and email a result, that was 2 days ago and they still have not got back to me...

Does anyone know if this offer is a scam or if it is only for other states?

This was a genuine offer. I got one a couple of days ago. Very happy with it. Only catch is if you want to do flashy milk variety coffees you need a milk frother, cost $59. Still not bad all up for a decent coffee machine.
